A National Care Service for Scotland

Described as potentially the biggest public sector reform in Scotland for decades, the Scottish Government is consulting on the development of a National Care Service for Scotland.

At a minimum it will cover adult social care, but the consultation covers the expansion of this to a comprehensive community health and social care service that will include children and young people, community justice, alcohol and drug services and social work.

Full details including details of online consultation events are here: A National Care Service for Scotland – Scottish Government – Citizen Space (consult.gov.scot)

SenScot are also holding events specifically targeted at social enterprises. Details here: SENScot Session on NCS Consultation: Improving care and scope of NCS – SENScot

The consultation closes on November 2nd.
