This research report by Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) explores emerging good practice in community wealth building across rural and island areas of Scotland. It uses three case studies: creative place-making in Dumfries and Galloway, rural enterprise on Arran, and community energy in the Shetland Islands, to identify innovative local approaches. The study examines the opportunities, challenges, and solutions shaping these initiatives. Findings are used to develop recommendations that support community wealth building across its five policy pillars in Scotland.
