Fuel Poverty

Funded by the Scottish Community Alliance, this Community Learning Exchange delved into the topic of fuel poverty, particularly in the context of rural communities. The session was held virtually on the 5th September 2022.

With the cost of living rising so substantially, people around Scotland are struggling afford the energy that it costs to heat their homes. This is defined as ‘fuel poverty’ and the number of those affected is growing rapidly. This learning exchange looked at ways in which fuel poverty can be alleviated by looking at two organisations who are working towards finding solutions to their very important issue, ALIenergy and Zero Carbon Moray.
