The Scottish Government is consulting on this draft strategy which sets out an overarching framework for engaging the people of Scotland in the transition to a net zero and climate ready nation. This signals a change ‘from encouraging incremental changes in attitudes and behaviours, to facilitating a society-wide transformation’.
It identifies three key objectives each with a series of actions.
- Communicating climate change policy
- Enabling participation in policy design
- Encouraging action across communities and places in Scotland
It asks what you like about the strategy, what needs to change and how to ‘maximise the effectiveness and inclusivity of this strategy for the people, communities, and organisations that will be at the heart of delivering it’.
