We deliver tailored developmental learning to children and young people, vulnerable adults and supporter organisations. Accommodation is based around a nine-bedroom Victorian former hunting lodge on a 53-acre estate at the foot of Tinto Hill near Biggar, within an hour of Edinburgh and Glasgow. We also have cabins and campsite facilities. Activities can be based on residential or day visits. For both, we welcome schools, core charities and supporter organisations through our social enterprise.
Our certified instructors deliver activities based on outdoor adventure, the environment and creative arts. Core adventure programmes include archery, caneoing, raft-building, climbing and high ropes. Nature-based programmes include bushcraft, John Muir Award projects and renewable energy education. Creative programmes include music, drum circles, story-telling and arts. We specialise in blending programmes to suit all children, especially those with additional support needs. We also design team-building programmes and can host work or wellbeing retreats. Core visitors include charities, schools, music, youth and community groups. Guests’ activity programmes can be designed by us or self-led.
We are a Living Wage employer and also support rural youth employment through the Community Jobs Scotland scheme.
