Ros McGhee, a Household Resilience Advocate at InspirAlba has been supporting Colintraive and Glendaruel Development Trust and the Glendaruel Village Hall to secure CARES funding for solar panels and battery storage. 
 
After experiencing the isolation and impact of Storm Eowyn, the community is turning the hall into a resilience hub. A safe, powered space during emergencies. Plans are now underway to support other nearby village halls to do the same. 
 
An example that could empower village halls across Scotland to become vital community lifelines.
