Senscot Reopening Sessions

With the news that Scotland’s tourism businesses can reopen on 15th July, many social enterprises are seeking guidance and clarification to assist them in planning for reopening. Senscot will be running a series of sessions, with partners, over the coming weeks and months to advise on re-opening, as and when appropriate. Sessions begin this week on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th June, with a focus on planning for re-opening for retail, tourism, and how to keep customers and volunteers safe.

 

25th and 26th June – ‘SE Reset:  Moving towards and planning for Re-opening’

 

Thursday 10am – 11am, Partnerships and Procurement: Opening Scotland Excel Frameworks to Third Sector and the Benefits for Sport and Community Facilities

Neil Young from P4P will discuss options for collaboration based on good practice as well as support available from P4P and online resources.
Iain Murray from Scotland Excel will provide info about the temporary and free associate membership Scotland Excel has implemented to support third sector organisations.Hear about how the process works, frameworks available, ordering, experiences, supplier feedback, collated purchasing, and support from Scotland Excel

Thursday 11am- 12pm, Planning for Re-opening: Retail

Sam Moir from ZWS will present guidance designed to help retailers prepare to open. Developed for the Revolve network, the guidance is a useful document for anyone involved in retail and includes specialist information on dealing with reuse items. There will be opportunity to ask questions and for sharing best practice.

Thursday 12.30pm -1.30pm, Borders SEN Meeting-Moving Towards and Planning for Re-opening and AGM.  Communicate, Collaborate, Co-produce

The session will consider how we as a sector can sustain our efforts to support our people and communities, whilst ensuring the longer-term economic viability of business and our sector, as the phased approach to relaxing lockdown measures come into play and beyond as set out in the Coronavirus (COVID-19): framework for decision making – Scotland’s route map through and out of the crisis.
