Student Placement Opportunity – Postgrad International Tourism & Hospitality Management at Robert Gordon University

Robert Gordon University are currently looking for an organisation to host student placements. The opportunity, which is now available through Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, would allow an organisation to benefit from having a postgraduate student deliver a defined project in relation to International Tourism & Hospitality Management.  The University are now actively seeking projects for their summer programme.

The students studying MSc ITHM, can go out on 4 weeks full-time (unpaid) placement, and this can take place on the organisation’s premises. The placement can also be remote (student Working from Home) or a combination of both, whichever is preferable for the organisation. The summer programme will commence from the 23rd May 22 at the earliest, but students can be placed as late as the 27th June 2022 for 4 weeks. Generally due to their postgraduate status, the students are looking at a more project-led placement, however they can also undertake a broad range of tasks whilst on placement, including hands on day-to-day work.

Topics include (but are not limited to):

  • Research
  • Admin
  • Marketing
  • Shadowing Management Team
  • Communications – all aspect of social media
  • Events Planning/Fundraising Initiatives
  • Companies identify issues/problems and the student comes up with solutions etc.
  • Updating/New policies & procedures

**Please note that if none of the above topics fit with a project the organisation has in mind, RGU are very open to discussing other project ideas so please do get in touch.
